Job Purpose
In the current competitive higher education landscape, a strong and strategically managed digital presence is essential for institutional growth and brand positioning. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the digital communication strategy of GUNI to enhance visibility, engagement, admissions outreach, and institutional reputation across various online platforms.
The role will focus on promoting academic programs, student achievements, events, research initiatives, faculty highlights, and branding activities to effectively engage prospective students, parents, alumni, industry stakeholders, and the wider community, particularly for the Admission Cycle 2026–27.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with institutional branding and admission objectives.
Manage and monitor official social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), and other relevant digital channels.
Create, curate, and publish engaging content including posts, reels, videos, graphics, Photographs, stories, campaigns, and promotional materials.
Coordinate with academic departments, admissions teams, faculty members, and event coordinators for timely digital coverage and promotions.
Plan and execute digital campaigns for admissions, events, seminars, workshops, student activities, rankings, achievements, and institutional initiatives.
Ensure consistency in brand identity, communication tone, and visual standards across all digital platforms.
Monitor social media trends, analytics, audience engagement, and campaign performance to optimize reach and effectiveness.
Handle online reputation management and respond appropriately to audience engagement and inquiries.
Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and external agencies for quality digital content creation.
Creating Social Media insights of all ad Campaigns, Expenses.
Prepare periodic reports on digital engagement, campaign performance, audience growth, branding impact and Creating Social Media Landing Pages of required programs for Meta/Google Ads Campaigns.
Support institutional marketing, outreach, and public relations initiatives through innovative digital communication strategies.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, MBA, or related field.
Skills Required ?
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital trends, and audience engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in content writing, copywriting, and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of social media analytics tools, campaign management, and digital advertising.
- Hands-on experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, and content scheduling platforms.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and branding consistency.
- ·Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
