Position: Deputy Director/ Assistant Director Admissions

Job Purpose

To lead and strengthen the admissions function of the University by driving strategic admission planning, national and international outreach, student conversion, institutional branding, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making to achieve program-wise admission targets across all constituent faculties of Ganpat University.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for achieving program-wise admission targets across all constituent faculties as assigned by the Management year-on-year.
  2. Prepare, manage, and obtain approval for the Admissions Cell budget with optimum utilization of resources, capital, manpower, time, and operational planning.
  3. Develop and present detailed admission strategies, action plans, and execution roadmaps to Management at regular intervals.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, consultants, agencies, institutions, and other external stakeholders for long-term collaboration.
  5. Conduct regular presentations and performance reviews regarding admission activities, campaigns, targets, and execution status before Management.
  6. Analyze student preferences, course demand trends, market behavior, lifestyle patterns, and other relevant factors for strategic admission planning.
  7. Conduct Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly review meetings and submit reports to the Management.
  8. Coordinate with the IT Department for development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Admission Portal and related systems.
  9. Travel nationally and internationally for admission outreach, student recruitment activities, institutional collaborations, and promotional initiatives.
  10. Plan and execute travel schedules, outreach campaigns, seminars, and admission drives effectively and in advance.
  11. Lead initiatives to attract meritorious students from national and international markets to enhance diversity and academic quality.
  12. Maintain continuous engagement with external sources and networks that can support student admissions and institutional outreach.
  13. Promote the achievements, facilities, programs, rankings, infrastructure, policies, and unique strengths of Ganpat University among prospective students and stakeholders.
  14. Develop region-wise and nation-wise admission strategies including branding, marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and outreach programs.
  15. Ensure timely handling and resolution of admission-related queries and issues through online and offline platforms.
  16. Escalate critical admission-related matters and provide strategic recommendations to Management for timely decision-making.
  17. Develop strong student and parent networks across various states and regions to strengthen outreach and conversion.
  18. Promote Ph.D. and research programs among national and international scholars.
  19. Encourage and enhance female student participation through focused outreach and counseling initiatives.
  20. Develop and maintain admission-related MIS, data analytics, and statistical reports for effective decision-making.
  21. Ensure confidentiality and security of admission-related data and institutional information.
  22. Coordinate with Executive Deans, Deans, Principals, and faculty leadership to improve admission processes and academic offerings based on market feedback.
  23. Provide strategic inputs for development of brochures, branding materials, promotional content, and marketing communication.
  24. Conduct surveys and market research to evaluate perception and awareness of Ganpat University among students and stakeholders.
  25. Support documentation, counseling, and enrollment processes for prospective students.
  26. Assist students in availing scholarships, financial aid, and other applicable support schemes.
  27. Guide, mentor, and supervise the Admission Cell team to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
  28. Perform any other duties assigned by the University Management in the interest of the institution.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Management, Marketing, Education, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized university.

Experience

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in Admissions, Business Development, Student Recruitment, Educational Marketing, or Institutional Outreach.
  • Experience in Higher Education / University admissions preferred.
